Aama’s Journey: A Pilgrimage Between Continents & Cultures
Thursday, March 4, 2010
2:00 – 4:00 pm

Aama’s journey from her native Nepal to the United States is a riveting story told by Broughton Coburn who befriended her while living in Nepal, Tibet, and India for 20 years. Released from her worldly duties at age 84, Amma joined Mr. Coburn on a 12,000 mile spiritual pilgrimage throughout the United States. Her odyssey is beautifully conveyed by Broughton through his photographs and inspires us to reflect on our own lives and choices as we age.
Author of five books (including two national bestsellers), Harvard graduate Broughton Coburn has spent 20 years working in development and conservation for the United Nations, World Bank, and World Wildlife Fund in Nepal, Tibet, and India.
Broughton is a nationally-renowned speaker who has appeared on NPR, BBC, CBS, and in Life and National Geographic magazines.
