NCPHS Selected by AARP as One of 2008's
Best Employers for Workers Over 50
NCPHS (Northern California Presbyterian Homes and Services) has been selected by AARP as one of the 2008 Best Employers for Workers over 50 in the United States and one of only four companies in California to make the list. NCPHS was specifically cited for their recruiting practices, providing their employees with comprehensive benefits, flexible schedules, training and education opportunities, access to work/life balance classes as well as their reward and recognition programs. 44% of the company’s employees are age 50+.
Bill Novelli CEO of AARP made the announcement, congratulating all of the winners for their efforts in the face of rising costs, especially for health care, and their reliance on progressive practices such as health screenings and wellness programs that lead to more productive and satisfied workers. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that by 2016, one in three workers will be over 50.
